Defined: A spiritually strong husband and wife places themselves under the authority of God. Their marriage is based on hat Gods word says. The husband becomes what God’s word says, the wife becomes what God’s word says. God’s word is their sole authority, not the world.
A husband and wife are equal before God, but not in equality.
Genesis 1:27-28b

* He knows his duty.
*He knows to protect.
Genesis 2:18
And the LORD God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.
Defined: Helper denotes assistance rendered at a point of real need, whether by God or by a fellow human being. It emphasizes effective strength supplied from outside oneself, when confronted with urgent circumstances.
John 14:16-18
And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.
A strong marriage requires a godly husband.
A godly husband does the following:
Joshua 24:15
*Sets the tone for spiritual growth.
Ecclesiastes 5:4-5
*Is consistent and a man of his word.
Joshua 1:9
*Is a man of courage.
*Put’s all effort to understand his wife.
1 Peter 3:7
In the same way, you husbands must give honor to your wives. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together. She may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God’s gift of new life. Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered.
Proverbs 31:10 AMP
An excellent woman [one who is spiritual, capable, intelligent, and virtuous], who is he who can find her? Her value is more precious than jewels and her worth is far above rubies or pearls.

A strong marriage requires a godly wife.
A godly woman is a Proverbs 31 woman:
Proverbs 31:10-31
Who can find a virtuous and capable wife (woman of strength)? She is more precious than rubies (knows her self-worth). 11Her husband can trust her (trustworthy), and she will greatly enrich his life (she’s the reason he can’t wait to come home). 12She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life (Loyal). 13She finds wool and flax and busily spins it (works hard). 14She is like a merchant’s ship, bringing her food from afar (wise). 15She gets up before dawn to prepare breakfast for her household and plan the day’s work for her servant girls (put’s others first). 16She goes to inspect a field and buys it; with her earnings she plants a vineyard (entrepreneurial). 17She is energetic and strong, a hard worker (fit to meet responsibilities). 18She makes sure her dealings are profitable; her lamp burns late into the night (tireless). 19Her hands are busy spinning thread, her fingers twisting fiber (multi-tasker). 20She extends a helping hand to the poor and opens her arms to the needy (giving and caring). 21She has no fear of winter for her household, for everyone has warm clothes (is fearless). 22She makes her own bedspreads. She dresses in fine linen and purple gowns (beauty and excellence). 23Her husband is well known at the city gates, where he sits with the other civic leaders (makes her husband a better man). 24She makes belted linen garments and sashes to sell to the merchants (makes income). 25She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future (inner strength enabling her to face the future with hope). 26When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness (wise counsel and help). 27She carefully watches everything in her household and suffers nothing from laziness (manages well and organized). 28Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her: (kids love her and husband is head over heels!) 29“There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!” (Malania Trump has nothing on her!) 30Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the LORD will be greatly praised (she loves God more). 31Reward her for all she has done (to be honored). Let her deeds publicly declare her praise (worth bragging about).
