Romans 1:24-27
Romans 1:28-31
Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done. 29Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder, quarreling, deception, malicious behavior, and gossip. 30They are backstabbers, haters of God, insolent, proud, and boastful. They invent new ways of sinning, and they disobey their parents. 31They refuse to understand, break their promises, are heartless, and have no mercy. 32They know God’s justice requires that those who do these things deserve to die, yet they do them anyway. Worse yet, they encourage others to do them, too.
Matthew 24:12
Because of the multiplication of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold.
Sexual intimacy expresses the oneness between husband and wife.
Gensis 2:24
“Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.”
Sexual intimacy honors your marriage.
Hebrews 13:4
Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.
Sexual intimacy is to be often and a regular practice in your marriage.
1 Corinthians 7:3-5
The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband. For the wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. Do not deprive one another…”
1Thessolonians 4:3-4
God wants you to be holy and completely free from sexual immorality. 4Each of you should know how to live with your wife in a holy and honorable way, 5not with a lustful desire, like the heathen who do not know God.
Proverbs 5:15-23
Drink water from your own well—share your love only with your wife. 16Why spill the water of your springs in the streets, having sex with just anyone? 17You should reserve it for yourselves. Never share it with strangers. 18Let your wife be a fountain of blessing for you. Rejoice in the wife of your youth. 19She is a loving deer, a graceful doe. Let her breasts satisfy you always. May you always be captivated by her love. 20Why be captivated, my son, by an immoral woman, or fondle the breasts of a promiscuous woman? 21For the LORD sees clearly what a man does, examining every path he takes. 22An evil man is held captive by his own sins; they are ropes that catch and hold him. 23He will die for lack of self-control; he will be lost because of his great foolishness.
Sexual intimacy is meant to be enjoyed with your husband or wife.
Song of Solomon…
Song of Solomon 1:2-4,12-12
(Woman) Kiss me and kiss me again, for your love is sweeter than wine. How pleasing is your fragrance; your name is like the spreading fragrance of scented oils. No wonder all the young women love you! Take me with you; come, let’s run! The king has brought me into his bedroom… The king is lying on his couch, enchanted by the fragrance of my perfume. My lover is like a sachet of myrrh lying between my breasts. He is like a bouquet of sweet henna blossoms from the vineyards of En-gedi.
Song of Solomon 3:6-10
Who is this sweeping in from the wilderness like a cloud of smoke? Who is it, fragrant with myrrh and frankincense and every kind of spice?7Look, it is Solomon’s carriage, surrounded by sixty heroic men, the best of Israel’s soldiers. 8They are all skilled swordsmen, experienced warriors. Each wears a sword on his thigh, ready to defend the king against an attack in the night. 9King Solomon’s carriage is built of wood imported from Lebanon. 10Its posts are silver, its canopy gold; its cushions are purple. It was decorated with love by the young women of Jerusalem.
Song of Solomon 4:1-7
(Man) You are beautiful, my darling, beautiful beyond words. Your eyes are like doves behind your veil. Your hair falls in waves, like a flock of goats winding down the slopes of Gilead. 2Your teeth are as white as sheep, recently shorn and freshly washed. Your smile is flawless, each tooth matched with its twin. 3Your lips are like scarlet ribbon; your mouth is inviting. Your cheeks are like rosy pomegranates behind your veil. 4Your neck is as beautiful as the tower of David, jeweled with the shields of a thousand heroes. 5Your breasts are like two fawns, twin fawns of a gazelle grazing among the lilies. 6Before the dawn breezes blow and the night shadows flee, I will hurry to the mountain of myrrh and to the hill of frankincense. 7You are altogether beautiful, my darling, beautiful in every way.
Song of Solomon 4:12-15
(Man) You are my private garden, my treasure, my bride, a secluded spring, a hidden fountain. 13 Your thighs shelter a paradise of pomegranates with rare spices—henna with nard, 14nard and saffron, fragrant calamus and cinnamon, with all the trees of frankincense, myrrh, and aloes, and every other lovely spice. 15 You are a garden fountain, a well of fresh water streaming down from Lebanon’s mountains.
Song of Solomon 5:2-3, 14-16 (Woman) I slept, but my heart was awake, when I heard my lover knocking and calling: “Open to me, my treasure, my darling, my dove, my perfect one. My head is drenched with dew, my hair with the dampness of the night.” But I responded, “I have taken off my robe. Should I get dressed again?...His arms are like rounded bars of gold, set with beryl. His body is like bright ivory, glowing with lapis lazuli. His legs are like marble pillars set in sockets of finest gold. His posture is stately, like the noble cedars of Lebanon. His mouth is sweetness itself; he is desirable in every way. Such, O women of Jerusalem, is my lover, my friend.
Song Of Solomon 6:8-10
(Man) Even among sixty queens and eighty concubines and countless young women, I would still choose my dove, my perfect one—the favorite of her mother, dearly loved by the one who bore her. The young women see her and praise her; even queens and royal concubines sing her praises: “Who is this, arising like the dawn, as fair as the moon, as bright as the sun, as majestic as an army with billowing banners?”
