The kings of Israel, Judah, and Edom joined forces to fight against Moab. But after marching through the desert, they ran out of water. The armies and their animals were in danger of dying. They turned to the prophet Elisha, who told them to dig ditches in the valley. Even though there was no rain, God miraculously filled the ditches with water. The next morning, the Moabites saw the water shining red like blood and thought the armies had turned on each other. They rushed in, only to be defeated. God provided both water and victory, showing His power and care.
