After the prophets of Baal failed to call down fire, Elijah rebuilt the altar of the Lord using twelve stones to represent the twelve tribes of Israel. He dug a trench around it, placed the sacrifice on the wood, and poured water over everything—three times! Then Elijah prayed a simple but powerful prayer, asking God to show the people that He is the true God. Immediately, fire fell from heaven and consumed the sacrifice, the wood, the stones, and even the water. The people fell on their faces and cried, “The Lord—He is God!” It was a moment of awe, power, and truth.

Prayer
Dear God, thank You for showing us that You are the God who answers prayer. Help us to trust You like Elijah did, even when things seem impossible. May our faith be strong, and may our lives show others that You are the one true God. Help our family to always honor You and follow Your ways. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
