After Naaman was healed of leprosy, he offered Elisha gifts to show his gratitude. But Elisha refused, wanting Naaman to know that healing came from God, not for a price. Gehazi, Elisha’s servant, secretly ran after Naaman and lied, asking for gifts in Elisha’s name. Naaman gave him silver and clothes, and Gehazi hid them. But Elisha knew what had happened. He confronted Gehazi and told him that because of his greed and dishonesty, Naaman’s leprosy would now cling to him. Gehazi left Elisha’s presence with leprosy. This story teaches us the importance of honesty, contentment, and trusting God’s ways.

 Prayer

Dear God, thank You for teaching us through stories like Gehazi’s. Help us to be honest and content with what we have. Keep us from being greedy or selfish, and help us to trust that You will always provide what we need. May our family live with integrity and honor You in all we do. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
