In 2 Kings 9, God appoints Jehu as king of Israel through the prophet Elisha’s messenger. Jehu is tasked with bringing judgment upon the house of Ahab for their idolatry and wickedness. He drives furiously to Jezreel, where Queen Jezebel resides. Jezebel, known for her pride and cruelty, tries to charm Jehu, but he orders her to be thrown from the window. Her death fulfills the prophecy spoken by Elijah, showing that God's justice always prevails.

Dear Lord,
Thank You for showing us that You are a God of justice and mercy. Help us to be brave like Jehu when You call us to stand for what is right. Teach us to listen to Your voice and follow Your ways, even when it’s hard. Keep our hearts humble and obedient, and help us to trust in Your promises.
Amen.
