After God provided food for Elijah and the widow during the drought, a tragedy struck—the widow’s son became very sick and died. The mother was heartbroken and questioned why this had happened. Elijah took the boy to the upper room, laid him on the bed, and cried out to God. He stretched himself over the child three times and prayed earnestly. God heard Elijah’s prayer and brought the boy back to life. This miracle showed the widow that Elijah truly was a man of God and that God’s word was true.

 Prayer

Dear God, thank You for hearing our prayers, just like You heard Elijah’s. Help us to trust You even when things seem hopeless. Thank You for showing us that You care deeply about our pain and that You have the power to bring life and hope. Help our family to always turn to You in faith. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
