In 1 Samuel 21, David flees from King Saul, who is trying to kill him. David goes to Ahimelech the priest in Nob and lies to him, saying he is on a secret mission for the king. Ahimelech, unaware of David's situation, helps him by giving him food and Goliath's sword.

  7. Have you ever made a decision that you later regretted? What did you learn from it?

Prayer:

Dear Lord, we thank you for this story of David and Ahimelech. We see that even people who love you can make mistakes and that our actions have consequences. Help us to always choose honesty and integrity, even when it is difficult. Give us wisdom to make good decisions and courage to admit when we are wrong. Amen.
