Naaman was a powerful commander in the Syrian army, but he had a terrible skin disease called leprosy. In his household was a young Israelite servant girl who had been taken from her home. Even though she was far from her family, she had great faith in God. She told Naaman’s wife that there was a prophet in Israel—Elisha—who could heal him. Naaman listened and went to Israel, beginning a journey that would lead to healing and a deeper understanding of God. This story reminds us that even the smallest voice, when filled with faith, can lead to great things.

 Prayer

Dear God, thank You for using even the smallest voices to do big things. Help us to be like the servant girl—full of faith, courage, and kindness. Teach us to speak up when we know something good and to always point others to You. May our family be a light that helps others find hope in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
